How does elimination work on the voice

Having been a coach on the UK series, I know just how powerful it can be in making dreams come true. I am so happy to be working alongside these amazing coaches. I have known Jess for a long time, I am a huge admirer of Keith and Rita is a great talent. I really feel like this panel will genuinely nurture a new generation of artists. See More: The Voice: Everything you need to know about the coaches. Raising the stakes during the Blinds and heating up competition between the coaches, is The Block.

Each coach has the ultimate power to block a rival coach from getting an artist they turned a chair for. Coaches get two blocks. A block can be dealt during a performance and anonymously. New this season, the coaches can have an unlimited number of artists on their teams, but the more artists they turn for, the more they must lose in the following round — The Cut.

After the Blind Auditions are complete, each artist must immediately face their coach to prove their star power. Each coach can only take five artists through to the Knockouts. It's a beautiful, amazing thing. Follow along with the results of the Knockouts below to keep track of your favorite singers as they head towards the live shows!

KCK3 - eliminated during Battle Rounds. During the battle rounds the coaches will pit two of their own team members against each other to sing the same song together in front of a studio audience. Each coach has two steals during the battle rounds. At the end of the battles, only the strongest members of each coach's roster remain and proceed to the new knockout rounds.

The artists will be paired again with a member of their team, but this time they find out only minutes before performing who they are being compared against. The artists each select their own song to perform individually, while their direct competitor watches and waits.

Their coach will choose the winner and the artist not selected will be sent home. In the final live performance phase of the competition, the top artists from each team will compete each week against each other during a live broadcast. The television audience will vote to save their favorite artists and the two artists with the lowest number of votes will be sent home each week. In the end, one will be named "The Voice" and will receive the grand prize of a recording contract.
