How does a defiant get to silverwood

Honestly, I never got past the lore before making my decision. I agree that the Guardian zones are better, but I like the whole steampunk thing that the Defiant have going on. Anecdotally, I just had a better experience in beta on the Defiant side. I ran into more obnoxiousness when I leveled my Guardian. But it did flavor my impressions of the factions, so Defiant it is! Where are these comics that you speak of? Something you have to buy or some fansite?

Please share a link…thanks. I started beta as a defiant and went to I then started another character on Guardian and ended up at 32 there. I liked Silverwood a lot. I actually thought the lore for Guardian at that level was much richer than for Defiant.

The quests were more fun particularly at the college too. As to rifting, i noticed you had two basic highways north and south that branched through the high level and low level rifts. It was easy to decide which area you wanted to go to based upon your level lower folks went south, higher levels went north.

Plus there were two good focal points for invasions on either end. You can also check the individual artifacts in our database for logged entries of where they were discovered. In short, the best places to consistently find green and blue artifacts seem to be Overwatch Keep's towers, the northern mountains bordering Moonshade, and the western mountain range bordering Gloamwood. However, from my personal observations, here are my "rules" on rare artifacts:.

Any artifact has a chance to spawn as a blue artifact. Specific spawns are much more likely to be a green or blue artifact. These spawns usually have longer spawn times or are harder to get to. The last rule doesn't apply so much to Silverwood. Also, some spots will not spawn specific artifacts. Because it only spawns near Quicksilver College , which I always ignored after the western mountains I would head south to Divine Landing and then work my way northeast. As mentioned before, one of the best spots is the towers of Overwatch Keep.

This also happens to hold the puzzle to the zone, called Puzzled at the Top of the World. To access this puzzle, I made my way to , and clicked on a Mysterious Plaque.

This puzzle, unlike many others, is ridiculously easy to complete. Simply head counter-clockwise from where you spawn to the next plaque. There are several other easy achievements as well!

Spelunking in Silverwood is fairly simple; the caves are at these coordinates:. A High Point is at , , along with an ancient cairn for extra goodies.

This will probably be found naturally while hunting artifacts in the mountains, or completing Silverwoodsman. You need to jump off the bridge to Sanctum twice for it, but you won't take damage either time. And what good Defiant needs an excuse to slaughter High Elves? Not I, dear readers, not I. Odds are many players will get stuck trying to finish the artifact achievements or The Foul Enemies of the Wood.

The best time to get rare spawns is right after a server reset. I found Mok and Brod immediately after resets. I can say that Pandora does not respawn immediately after a server reset, however.

And to date I've killed Pentheus several times, which awards him my "totally not rare rare spawn" award.

As for the artifacts See also : All Defiant-completable achievements in Silverwood. Once Silverwood is done, a Defiant will head east to Gloamwood. This zone is a step up in difficulty, both in finding artifacts and in dealing with higher level enemies. I should have never left the sea. Oh, good thinking Friar Tuck! If you want to go for sight-seeing reasons, try swimming from the NE shore of Freemarch toward the Lighthouse Shoreward Island or the Wreck of the Endeavor, and then continue NE from there to arrive at the swampy part of silverwood where the boglings live.

They're hostile but you don't have to flag pvp to fight them like you would the starting area Guardian guard npcs. Originally Posted by Alessar. Beware the Penguin Originally Posted by Geopenguin. Originally Posted by Friar Tuck.
