Can I become Amish even though im divorced due to being threatened into the marriage? Back in i had gotten married to a man who was abusive to me. Everytime i left he would threatened to hurt himself and he did just to prove he could. He threatened to kill himself if I didnt marry him. He would trick me he overdosed on drugs or leave and say hes going to do it?

For myself reading about the Amish lifestyle has helped me to realize this over indulgent life that I have experienced not as a child however as my parents were poor although until we were a little older we did not realize this. It has made me to come to grips with realty I do not need a lot of material possessions to be happy.

There is only one downside I live in The Netherlands and searching a community to join from here is hard and you can find almost nothing online which is understandable because there is no technology in most communities.
